The thinking behind the Justis Clothing Original Hoodie
Fit as the foundation
Many people look at the appearance of a hoodie first. How does it look? How does it stand out? Does it suit my style? That makes sense. But what is often forgotten is that appearance only truly comes into its own when the fit and the fabric are right.
A hoodie can look good in a photo, but if the proportions are off or the material feels too thin, it loses its strength the moment you put it on.
That is why at Justis Clothing we do not start with looks. We start with the basics. The fit. The weight of the fabric. The construction. Only when that is perfect do we look at the appearance.
The Justis Clothing Original Hoodie is designed with clear proportions. A shoulder width of 70 cm and a body length of 70 cm create a strong, straight oversized fit. The chest width of 70 cm gives room without becoming shapeless.
The sleeves are deliberately balanced. A length of 59 cm, an upper width of 28 cm and a narrower opening of 9 cm provide structure within the oversized silhouette. The 5 cm cuffs and waist rib keep the shape tight and controlled.
The hood is no afterthought either. With a depth of 22 cm and a length of 36 cm it falls generously but thoughtfully. We deliberately chose a single-layer hood without drawstrings. No unnecessary elements. Only what is needed.
The fabric makes the difference
The hoodie is made of 53% cotton and 47% polyester with a weight of 320 GSM. That means: sturdy, heavy and shape-retaining. No thin fabric that sags after a few wears.
The combination of cotton and polyester provides comfort and durability. The fabric feels compact and keeps its structure. That is where quality begins.
The finish is done with blind stitching, which gives a clean and minimalist look without visible unnecessary seams.
The detail that follows
Only after the fit and fabric are completely right do we look at appearance. The embroidered chest logo is an example. Subtly placed, executed in embroidery with a visible outer stitch. Slightly raised, with texture. Not a print, but real embroidery.
It is present without dominating.
Why we deliberately start small
Justis Clothing is a new Dutch clothing brand. We chose not to want everything at once. This hoodie is the beginning. We build step by step, with a focus on quality over quantity.
We only release what feels right to us. No mass. No rush.
